CAP Beauty is a place of discovery, a portal to your highest self. It is a destination that is guided by the power of plants, ritual and intention and was created as an offering to all. Of course it stemmed from a need, and an issue, as all good things usually are, and has evolved into a space that is rooted in nature, community and wellbeing.
To me it is the foundation for everything else. As someone who lives with an autoimmune disease, what I put in my body sets the stage for how I feel physically, emotionally and spiritually. The pantry acts as my companion on the road of care.
I start with a quick tongue scrap and then head in the kitchen for a large glass of well water and turn on the espresso machine. Next up is TM (transcendental meditation) followed by a daily reading from the Al-Anon companion and then I begin my day. A shower, a walk with the dogs, the aforementioned espresso and a smoothie. All while outside staring at the mountains.
This one is a bit harder for me, my work day often seeps into my personal time but I’m working on this by befriending my calendar and learning the transformative technique of mind management. Once I’ve stopped working, it’s another session of TM, sometimes followed by yoga and then deciding what to have for dinner. Lately it’s been my Mountain High bowl that is satisfying my on all levels
I wanted blends that would support us through all stages of the day and contacted the master formulator Rehmannia Thomas to develop a delicious, effective range for any time you needed a bit of external help. He brought his Taoist knowledge and presented the 8, 4 and 10 blends that met all my expectations and more.
I love to add 1-2 T of The Coconut Butter to hot water, a ¼ teaspoon of the blend you are in need of, some cinnamon, cacao and a tiny hit of our Pink Mountain Salt and blend on high. Pour into your favorite mug and enjoy!
I love it neat in the afternoon, or mixed with the always delicious 1-2 T Coconut Butter. I also love to use it as a mask and stir it up with honey for a rejuvenating, naturally exfoliating, calming and antioxidant rich mask.
Beauty means everything to me and has transformed my life on all levels. Beauty can be accessed anywhere at any time, it is available to all. Of course, I’m not talking about conventional beauty in the realm of makeup or skincare, but beauty as a universal concept that can be found everywhere, even in the darkest of circumstances. I’ve found that it can be particularly rich during challenging times. It is my guiding light every day.
